Up after a crash
Dear Visitors,
this site is currently not full functional. We are currently restoring and apologize
for the inconviniences.
2112PowerWindows Open Source is now open to SAP® Business Server Pages.
The port is ready and will be available from our Open Source Project Site on code.google.com(from Sunday 22nd of June).
There is a Wiki that explains installation and some more technical background on the project.
Or download the source/installation here.
Fastest Browser Window Toolkit on earth...
2112PowerWindows is a Javascript Window Toolkit that turns simple static Web Content into fully draggable windowed content (this site uses a PHP/Joomla Port).
It is optimized for speed. Compare it! Any other toolkit will get stuck when dragging large areas with lots of content in it. Not ours - we keep dragging.
PowerWindows can host IFRAMES, embed markup Code (html, flash...), or hook up existing DIVs on your page and turn them into a snapIn that can be tossed around on the page and docks into a customizable layout.
You could easily extend the system by building your own snapIns using Javascript.
PowerWindows operate on AJAX technology and are also available as PHP based solution to use on APACHE based servers.
Since Javascript based you could use it on literally any HTML-Page by including a few scripts and calling methods of the framework to instantiate the runtime system and load windows.
The framework is tested with SAFARI, Firefox(1.5, 2, 3), theWorldBrowser and even Internet Explorer 6 and 7.
The Opera Browser is not yet supported.
Even though Open Source, there are some license issues on the Framework.
The base engine is released under the GPL.
The product is extensible by third party modules that are neither linked or coded into the product but are dynamically loaded on runtime. For these third party manufactures different licensing may apply.
The BSP Port from 2112Portals.com make use of ABAP™ Modules that need to be installed and customized on the clients system.
Anyhow you could embed any source from any system regardless of its origin, language, encoding as long it the browser can display it (HTML, FLASH, Javascript).
